This book provides a brief bibliographical review of domestic pigeons (Columba livia), Salmonellosis and the Ver-o-peso market (Belém-PA). The book also reports on a study carried out to investigate the presence of Salmonella sp. in the faeces of free-living domestic pigeons that live in the market. The study used simple direct methods for diagnosis and obtained negative results for the aetiological agent investigated.
