Beschrijving

Bol In the 21st century the production and demand of EV is rising exponentially based on the development in the target towards Seventh Sustainable Development Goal (SDG7). Hence, charging time of electric vehicles (EVs) is one of the important factors. This project investigates various charging algorithms such as Constant Current (CC), Constant Voltage (CV) and Constant Current Constant Voltage (CCCV) Charging based on the buck converter closed loop control strategies in order to decrease the charging time. The simulation has been done in MATLAB for lithium-ion batteries. This study was carried out through the MATLAB Simulation environment in order to reduce the charging time within 15 minutes. It includes the closed loop current and voltage control for this analysis. This analysis shows that the CV charging mechanism is faster than the remaining charging methods. However, the high current charging implementation may lead to reducing the life time of the battery and charging equipment and increase the safety issues.
