Architecture Studio Europe

This is the second title in a new architecture series published by Charta, and follows Richard Meier: the Getty Centre. The book, realised in collaboration with Poltrona Frau, offers a complete vision of the impressive architectural complex by Architecture Studio Europe, winner of the 1991 contest for the construction of the European parliament headquarters. The majestic photographs capture the building's stunning beauty and size, the waterfront facade and the main entrance, as well as the square and the hanging garden. Among the numerous interior pictures are shots of the entrance, the semicircles, the hallways, the chairs and the indoor garden which, visible from every part of the complex, is the backbone of the building. The book ends with an impressive view of the elliptical entrance courtyard seen from below the office tower.
