Bone and Cartilage Conduction

Sound can be transmitted to the inner ear not only through the typical air conduction pathway but also through other pathways such as bone conduction and cartilage conduction. In recent years, the development of devices utilizing these pathways has progressed, and they are now being used in clinical settings. This Special Issue covers basic research related to bone conduction, cartilage conduction, and studies on devices utilizing these methods.
