Bread & Oil welcomes you to a multi-course meal of poetic reflections from chef and poet Michael Rickicki, who invites readers to engage in a deeper connection to God, people, and the whole of creation. It's an invitation Michael once received from a quiet community of friars who welcomed him and opened a space in his life to experience peace. Affectionately, Michael notes that God is not a squirrel...but He can reveal Himself through a squirrel or any created thing, from the smallest blade of grass, to the entirety of the universe.
