The conflict between two completely different professional profiles: bean counters and business partners. This is the raw material for the analysis in this book. Based on the academic findings already validated about these two "types" of controller, and with the collaboration of respondents from all over Brazil, this master's thesis - now published as a book - aims to offer the reader a description of the main tasks performed by controllership professionals in this country. With this mapping, an innovative and provocative look is taken at the differences between the traditional management accountant (bean counter) and the business partner that the market seems to be increasingly demanding.
