Critical Computer Systems for Air Traffic Control

This paper presents an analysis of the critical systems used in air traffic control. While pointing out some limitations of current systems, it also presents improvements that can be implemented in new air traffic control systems, such as a radar project based on air traffic control surveillance technology: ADS-B (Automatic dependent surveillance- broadcast) and satellite data communication.
