The political, economic and socio-cultural transformations that the country has undergone since the period of colonial domination have led the Mozambican state to constantly reflect on and define suited public education policies and curricular reforms to educate society. it was in this regard that the Basic Education Curriculum Reform was introduced in 2004, with the Competence-Based Model option.
