Sarah-Jane and Andrew, as sister and brother, have always had each other and have therefore been able to weather the difficulties of their lives. Tom, however, has carried guilt and anger ever since he found out about his wife's illness. He tries hard to shut it all away but, when he meets his new neighbour Sarah-Jane, life takes an unexpected turn and he has at last to face his emotions and start the road to forgiveness.
