Essays on Marx's Capital

This new collection by Geert Reuten presents 21 of his previously published essays on the three volumes of Marx’s Capital, dating from 1991 to 2019. Reuten’s perceptive essays foreground Marx’s systematic-dialectical method and his monetary value-form analysis. Each essay generally begins with a summary of one of Marx’s texts (a Volume or its Parts or Chapters) followed by an appreciation and, if necessary, a reconstruction. The collection gives readers an overview of each of the three volumes – including their interconnection – as well as a more nuanced understanding of the specific parts of Capital.
