Although he grew up in a struggling Christian family, this did not stop Kendrick from having a big dream to fulfill. He wanted to be a great international basketball player recognized throughout the world. Although this was not the profession that his parents wanted for him, he later managed to make both his parents, including Elizabeth, proud of him after he and his friends succeeded in their careers after they joined the school league and were later selected for the biggest league in the city of Chicago. Thus, he was known as a basketball star, as he had always dreamed and been determined to be since he was a younger kid.
