Leadership Matters I

1 Samuel chronicles the rise of Monarchy in ancient Israel. It is a story full of life: barren women seeking fertility, guerrilla warfare, intrigue in royal courts, spies, the slaughter of captives, incest, adultery, murder, family discord, suicide and a host of other human problems and disorders. In the midst of it all it portrays how faith and leadership work. Many of the faults and virtues of modern leaders are reflected in the actions of the first two kings of ancient Israel.
