Loving Jesus

We quote Scripture that we love because He first loved us. (1 John 4:19 NIV) But what constitutes our responding love? It's often like the child of rich parents. The child expects the parents' love to always be there and excuses any response with little or no gratitude--just always an expectation that the parents will always be there to protect them and forgive them. But Jesus said, "If you love me, keep my commands." (John 14:15 NIV) Such a statement demands action on our part to give our best in responding with a consistent devotion of love that seals the deal!
