In this historic fiction, Triple Murder in Madurai, the author imagines a conversation between Sekkizhar (around 1135CE) and the King Kulothunga Chozhan II, . Sekkizhar describes the events that lead to the firm establishment of Saivism in Madurai. The reader is taken from Vedic times, to Mahavir Jain, to Buddha and to Sirkazhi where Gnanasambandar, the child blessed By Lord Siva, was born. This divine child goes to Madurai to meet the King Koon Pandyan, a staunch supporter of Jainism. Following a miracle and a remarkable debate between Gnanasambandar and the Jain Monks, Koon Pandyan converts himself to Saivism. However, a cruel triple murder is committed on the night before the debate. Was it planned and why?
