The Misadventures of Marcus Brutus is a story of a young man desperately seeking out a human experience. Hailing from the mountains of Southwest Virginia, Marcus Brutus leaves his native state for a stint in the Peace Corps just as he turned 25. After being evacuated from his service due to civil strife in Madagascar, Marcus embarks on a journey through many countries with just a small bag on his back with the intention of 'sucking all the marrow out of life'. Based on a true story, the novel highlights what a human being can experience on this Earth, fun or not, if one has the gall to do so.
