Faced with increasingly complex banking practices, and with a number of fairly professional players, including seasoned bankers, who have a monopoly on financial language and who, in the final analysis, propose and dispose, this Précis de Droit Bancaire has set itself the goal of providing as much information as possible on the legislative, regulatory and jurisprudential framework of banking practices to students, researchers, professionals, practitioners and the often lay users that we all are. A glossary containing almost a hundred terms frequently used in banking relations is provided to help readers understand the meaning of words often used in banking contracts.
