Nitrogen macromolecules for environmental applications

This book proposes eco-compatible solutions to reduce the environmental impact of wastewater by developing nitrogenous macromolecules for environmental applications, such as the selective extraction of metal cations by functionalized tetra-pyrazolic macrocycles; the use of pyrazolic macrocycles as antibacterial agents against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria; the selective chemodetection of metal cations by a water-soluble dye carrying a bi-pyrazole receptor, and the eco-design of pyrazolone-derived azo dyes catalyzed by magnetite-based nanoparticles coated with a silica layer functionalized by an acidic ionic liquid.
