Oliver's Midnight Rescue

"The dark can be tricky, but mindful movement helps. Feel the ground, listen, and notice what's nearby."Lily the ladybug and Cleo the caterpillar are watching some lightning bugs play soccer one evening. They decide to leave and look for Oliver the owl, but the dark plays tricks on them and they lose their way. Cleo falls down a hill into a pond, but Oliver is there to save her. He teaches Lily and Cleo how to use mindful movement to navigate safely at night. The three friends enjoy some fishing at the pond, and then Cleo and Lily use their new mindful movement skills to journey home safely.In this lesson, students explore mindful movement by learning how to move their bodies slowly, gently, and with focus. This practice supports self-regulation and body awareness, helping children feel more in control of their actions while developing focus and calm through intentional movement.
