People's Economics

The essence of the people is that this genre of economics springs from concerns for citizens' welfare and development as opposed to treating human beings as mere means to self enrichment by the powerful that informs mainstream economics in both philosophy and methodology. Thus, it is intended to be a departure from mainstream neoclassical economics which micro branch especially celebrates individualism and self-interest, inevitably with scant attention to collective welfare and progess butthereby serving as a tool of oppression and exploitation.
