Set in 1980s Atlanta, Georgia, this story follows Sheldon, a Black boy raised in the Hekau Society - a tight-knit community of neo-Kemetics who worship ancient Egyptian gods, read hieroglyphics, and follow sacred rituals passed down for generations. To Sheldon, this way of life is more than tradition - it's truth, beauty, and identity.
