Uncontrolled urbanization and environmental management

This exploratory study carried out in the town of Guitry takes into account the concerns of urban governance players responsible for sanitation. It confirms that the town of Guitry is facing a serious crisis linked to solid and liquid waste management, with only one of the town's ten districts equipped with garbage bins and sewage networks, representing just 10% of the territory. Insalubrity stems from a series of factors, including a lack of environmental education, penalties, waste collection and recovery, and a lack of training for those involved. In addition, the urban population explosion and the difficulty of financing waste management contribute to the problem.Faced with the inability of municipal authorities to effectively manage solid and liquid waste in the face of urban demographic growth, the question of urban environmental governance arises.The aim of the study is to analyze the constraints of uncontrolled urban sprawl.The methodological approach is based on documentary analysis, observation and interviews. The main results of the study show the vulnerability of environmental environmental resources.
