Unfinished History

This is the first collection of essays to discuss the impact of the Cold War (1945-1990) on Christianity in East Asia. In historical overviews, case studies and theological reflections, scholars from Asia, Europe and North America explore the variety of ways in which the Cold War has shaped the churches' involvement in society, politics and culture. The Cold War continues to have an impact the Korean peninsula, in Greater China and throughout the region. Churches are challenged to address the issues of the past that affect Christian life today.
