Mozart's 12 Duets (K. 487/496a) was written in Vienna in 1786 and is renowned not just for its melodic charm, but for the lighthearted-and likely fictional-story that has grown up around its composition. These unpretentious pieces have survived and been arranged for numerous instruments, including violins, clarinets, and trombones. And now, Dima Mondello has interpreted them for saxophone.
