16 Houses of Normality (part 1)

16 Houses of Normality, a fantasy narrative following two young women, Richaela and Aingealag, as they flee from shadowy, magical forces. Through a series of shifting perspectives, the story reveals that the protagonists are far from ordinary, as they discover hidden identities tied to ancient covens, werewolves, and witch hunters. The plot moves rapidly from a mundane school setting to supernatural encounters in Fife, where the characters navigate a world filled with shape-shifters, vampires, and a dangerous tracker named Shovka. Central to the mystery is Richaela's transformation and her complex, often antagonistic relationship with the magical community. Aingealag's own physical evolution into a scaled creature further underscores the theme of repressed heritage and involuntary change. Ultimately, the sources present a dark tale of survival where magic is both a powerful tool and a lethal burden.
