The circuit where the race is held is known as "The Cathedral" of motorcycling. The 2002 Dutch TT was the seventh round of the 2002 MotoGP Championship. It took place on the weekend of 27 - June 29, 2002 at the TT Circuit Assen located in Assen, Netherlands.
