This book will serve as an introduction to Ming Wong’s work and as a record of the artist’s residency at the National Gallery. Texts by Russell Storer and Annabel Jackson will provide an overview of the artist’s past works and a context for his project in the Gallery, alongside new material produced by the artist during his residency. The first book in over a decade dedicated to Wong’s work, this volume will include recent projects by the artist that have engaged with speculative futures, sci-fi aesthetics, Sino-American relations, and cross-gender opera – all popular themes that appeal to audiences today.
