Enjoyed the plot, the style of writing, the portrayal of the characters and the fluency of the writing. Nail biting stuff in between the investigations, character developments and skullduggery. Characters are likeable, you are interested in what happens to them. This series of books is brilliant, just how I like them with an insight into the officers’ lives as well as the cases they are following. Fabulous characters, engaging, humorous and believable. A very human partnership… they don’t have all the answers and are not cardboard cutouts. Brock and Poole are great characters… written with flaws and all.
