A Dollop'll Do It! is a satirical investigative narrative exploring the bizarre history of "Dollop," an obscure and legally immortal corporate mascot created for the Hallam-Voss Company. Conceived in 1946 by founder Emmett Voss and artist Marvin Ault, Dollop was designed as a boneless, headless, face-on-the-chest lump of hydrogenated vegetable shortening incapable of moral judgment. The book follows the eerie and comical trials of the seven human operators who wore the air-inflated rubberized canvas suit, the alarming 1954 child psychology report that was buried in a filing cabinet, a disastrous 1961 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade balloon incident, and the legal trap (Item Fourteen) that legally prevents the corporate trademark from ever dying.
