A Fawn's Heart: Romance Stories

"A Fawn's Heart" contains four literary romance tales with its witty, and sometimes dreadful, dialogue. The first story, Curses Are Born, teaches us that love is the scariest risk of all. A man is born into a family curse, unable to be loved by the age of forty. He ruins his youth in search for a woman to love him until he puts the quest to rest in his final year. The second of the four, Seagulls of Absurdity, highlights the disagreements between a couple. The man wishes to experience more life and take adventures before bringing a child into the world, but the woman has waited long enough and is ready, now, to be a mother and a wife. Leading to the couple separating and after a month vanishes, so does Samson. The third tale, The Lips of Alexa, is a treasure with its literary humor and psyche of an intellectual killer who has no problem murdering anyone except the beautiful bartender who doesn't judge him for his lust for blood. To conclude, Princia's Orange Monster. A situation where fantasy and romance blends. A half-man, half-monster, meets a woman at a bar and avoids to pursue any further steps but then, the two get a second chance at romance. He's hesitant if he should show his true form since it could either result in her accepting the creature or she'll betray him and expose his identity.
