A Forest Deep and Deadly

In a dying world where Earth's last two cities struggle to survive, a mysterious Forest may be their only salvation. The northern city of Zenith discovers the Forest and sends an expedition team to explore it, only to witness the team slaughtered by unknown creatures within the Forest's boundaries. Kieran Lee's wife dies in the attack, leaving him grieving and desperate for revenge. In a blind rage, he attacks a research camp to steal a specimen, hopeful it may hold a clue to what the murderous creatures are. Janna Birmingham, the daughter of the president of Beliege, becomes enthralled with the Forest and with her own revenge against Kieran after the botched raid. But as Kieran and Janna interact, her feelings begin to change. The Forest has its own agenda. The deadly creatures within it are restless, and the cities may not withstand the coming onslaught.
