A Life Not Lived is a raw, vulnerable collection of poetry written through the years of Kairis' transition from childhood to adulthood. Mostly written in response to overwhelming, difficult, and sometimes painful moments, Kairis' poems are a direct reflection of her thoughts and feelings, many of them incoherent, or without clear resolution of the conflict she experiences. In this collection, in what could be a diary, Kairis explores the ache and reluctance of growing up, her struggles with identity and self-worth, and all the little things in between that make up her life thus far.
