For those facing imminent deportation, the guide includes information on what to expect during the detention and deportation processes and provides a list of resources in Mexico and several other Central American countries. Created by the Education Justice Project at the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign, it focuses on the experiences of people who have been deported, centering their advice and suggestions. The guide was also created with the input of immigration attorneys and immigrants' rights organizations.
