I have written a book about my experience with stroke. The title is: A Stroke of Luck: An Exercise in Meaning. I have been inspired by Viktor Frankl—the author of his book Man's Search for Meaning [sixteen million copies sold]. That book changed my life. The point of this book is how I found meaning in and by my stroke experience. This book reflects how Viktor Frankl's book became my path after my stroke. Amidst great grief, I gained wisdom. This book details my going from despair to hope, from a crisis to opportunity. This book includes many thoughts/quotes from philosophical, religious, and spiritual texts. I reflect on them from a philosophical-spiritual perspective. Every year, 800,000 people become stroke survivors. I try to provide hope to them.
