People will do anything to get out of a bad situation. In Derek Hatchett's case, that means working for his father's failing recovery agency so he won't starve or worse, be without smokes. After a tour in Panama and six months working the road, Hatchett thought he was done with violence when he took over the family business, but old habits are hard to break. When a new client comes begging Hatchett to track down the man who ran off with the valuables meant to be her inheritance, he knows it's bringing more than just a payday. When the man is found murdered, Hatchett knows he's in more trouble than he can handle on his own.
