ACADEMIC ANALYSIS OF HYBRID TEACHING: IN CUBAN HIGHER EDUCATION FROM A PHILOSOPHICAL-PEDAGOGICAL PERSPECTIVE

This book analyzes hybrid teaching in Cuban higher education from the philosophy of education, examining it through its critical, epistemological, ethical-political and praxeological functions. It argues that hybridization transcends the technical to constitute a field where educational purposes and practices are reconfigured. In the Cuban context, marked by a solid socialist pedagogical tradition and material limitations such as the digital divide, a Cuban Model of Hybrid Education (MCHE) is proposed. This model is based on principles of technological sovereignty, equity, dialectical integration between face-to-face and virtual, and critical teaching mediation. It concludes that hybrid teaching, assimilated in a creative and contextual way, can be a lever to renew university pedagogy, strengthening its mission of training critical professionals committed to the social project of the nation.
