Will help organisations to comply with data protection legislation. Previously published by the department for Work and Pensions (DWP), it has been revised as most existing accident books allow personal details to be seen by anyone reading or making an entry in the book. The Data Protection Act 1998 requires that personal details in accident books must be kept confidential. Individual record sheets can be removed and stored securely. Contains 96 copies of the record sheet, instructions on how to use the book, and guidance on the Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations 1995 and the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1991.
