The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of acid silage of pirarucu residues in the diet of light commercial laying hens. The ensiled biomass was light brown in colour, with a slightly acidic aroma and a slightly creamy consistency. The pH was 4.38±0.11, with values of 84.16% dry matter, 40.06% crude protein, 26.82% ether extract, 9.31% mineral matter, 65.16 g/kg calcium, and 22.90 g/kg phosphorus. Significant differences were observed in the digestibility of crude protein, non-nitrogenous extract, ether extract, mineral matter, metabolisable energy, and metabolisable energy coefficient. It was concluded that acid silage has good nutrient digestibility and potential for use as an energy source. The results obtained for the performance and quality of eggs from laying hens fed diets containing acid silage meal showed a significant difference (P
