Adapting agriculture to climate change

Adapting to climate change has become one of the major challenges of the early 21st century for the sustainable development policies and strategies of all countries. Given their geographical location, new developments in global climatic conditions have direct consequences for each country's risk profiles. However, all nations share one common requirement: a sound understanding of these new risk profiles. Consequently, the relevance and effectiveness of any policies and strategies to be implemented will depend on this sound understanding. Our study is intended to serve as a tool to assist in the identification, formulation and implementation of sound policy. The pooling of efforts by all stakeholders on an equal and participatory basis is the key to ensuring that this policy is successfully implemented, so that it becomes harmonious, principled and sustainable.
