Bol The book series (Re)visionen aims at a revision of the literary canon analyzing Italian and Romance literary and cultural history according to gender-inclusive, comparative, intermedial, and transnational criteria. Not only does it place a special focus on often disregarded authors, texts, and media (such as films, series, and blogs), but it also fosters new readings of canonized works, for example, by considering findings from emotion research and modern subject theory. Among the topics thus analyzed from new perspectives are European and postcolonial narratives of eating disorders and the menstrual cycle, which has been present as a literary motif since Dante's Divina commedia and Boccaccio's Corbaccio, yet without ever being considered in literary studies. (Re)visionen is affiliated with the Center of Italian Studies at Bonn University. It publishes essay collections based on the annual conferences of the trinational research group Italianistica (Paris-Sorbonne, Florence, Bonn) and of the German-Italian Studies research network (Florence, Bonn) as well as monographs emanating from these cooperations. It also welcomes submissions by external researchers. Editorial Board Claudia Jacobi (Bonn) Irene Gambacorti (Firenze) Paul Geyer (Bonn) Manuele Gragnolati (Paris, Sorbonne) Davide Luglio (Paris, Sorbonne) Simone Magherini (Firenze) Delphine Rumeau (Grenoble) Lisa Tenderini (Bonn)
