African Youth: What Lies Ahead?: Focus on West Africa

Jean-Ives Lafleur AHISSI, an expert on African youth and a specialist in West Africa, urges every young person keen to fulfil their potential to read this book without fail. In the book, he states: "Just as a mother cannot bring up her daughter without teaching her how to cook, so too can we not bring up a child in the 21st century without teaching them how to earn money. Enrolling one's child in school, teaching them to create wealth, training them in entrepreneurship, providing them with financial support, and guiding them to success - this must be the new form of education for Africans." What is deplorable today is that young people, due to their own personal responsibilities but also because of the actions of certain external actors, are facing a lack of prospects. This is what the author will address in order to speak directly to young people, offering them solutions to help them fulfil their potential.
