After the Storm: Poems and Prayers

After the Storm is an initial offering of poems from spiritual director and retreat facilitator, Peter M. Ivey, written in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, the devastating storm that ravaged Southern Appalachia and Ivey's hometown of Asheville, NC in the fall of 2024. In the months that followed, poetry became his open window through which to breathe out sorrow and confusion, a refuge from the heartache, a sanctuary of hope and divine light.
