This book addresses the complex evolution of agrarian policies in Cuba from 1959 to 2022, with a particular focus on the growing and critical youth participation within the cooperative sector. It examines how the legal framework and agrarian reforms have shaped food production and the rural structure, while highlighting the dynamic and transformative role of youth in this context.The study delves into the historical stages of the Cuban cooperative movement, from its beginnings to current configurations, analyzing the expansion of cooperative structures and their adaptation to various socioeconomic challenges. Special attention is paid to how rural development strategies have been intertwined with the need to incorporate new generations, highlighting the relevance of youth participation for food sustainability and territorial development.The results presented in this work constitute a part of Chapter III of the doctoral thesis Youth participation in cooperative management in the framework of agrarian policy reforms.
