Aires de libertad de los florindos is an essay of political and social self-criticism that examines the reality of contemporary Ecuador beyond ideological discourses and promises of change. Through the analysis of power, corruption and the persistence of practices that are repeated with different governments, the book questions the root causes of democratic stagnation. The book proposes a critical look not only at those who govern, but also at the citizen, addressing habit, indifference and the normalization of abuse as factors that sustain structural problems. In this context, it introduces the figure of "los florindos" as an attitude characterized by criticism without commitment and superficial participation. Rather than offering simple answers, the book invites us to recover critical thinking, individual responsibility and conscious participation as the basis for a freer and more democratic society.
