Alan Miller (American Football)

Alan Miller (born June 16, 1937, Milford, Connecticut) is a former collegiate and Professional Football fullback. He played collegiately for Boston College (BC). Like many BC athletes, he was signed to a professional contract by the American Football League's Boston Patriots, playing for them in their first year of existence, 1960. In 1961, he was traded to the AFL's Oakland Raiders, and was a 1961 AFL All-Star. He played for the Raiders through 1964. Miller, who attended law school at Boston University, became an attorney and a noted sports agent, with many professional automobile racers using him as a client. Controversy erupted in 2007 when Kyle Busch broke from Miller, believing that Miller's dealings forced him out at Hendrick Motorsports, but in 2008, Miller was indicted as part of the situation that resulted from the death of his client, Greg Moore, in 1999.
