Albert the Great's Natural Philosophy and Medieval Integration of Aristotle

The recovery of a Catholic intellectual vision of nature requires returning to the moment in Western history when the Church first confronted, absorbed, purified, and elevated the most powerful body of pagan philosophical thought it had ever encountered. That moment, which unfolded across the twelfth and thirteenth centuries, was not merely an episode of academic curiosity.
