All at Sea

Sue is the woman who has everything: brains, beauty, wealth, andstatus through her marriage to Simon, the Hospital Consultant, yet with a defencelessness that makes everybody want to protect, even possess her. Vulnerable, Sue hovers between the old and thenew. When she loses control the result is horrific and disastrous. Her world collapses and the lives of those who know her arechanged forever. But has the narrative ended there? Thank God for those whodemonstrate stability! New relationships will be forged; childrenwill develop. People's flaws and strengths will make an impacton those around: so long as the seas continue to ebb and flow, the Story of Life can never end.Olive Clarke has given us another gripping tale where thereis the tendency for disaster to follow the caprices of falliblehumans. Despite everything we move on as best we can, andsomehow the Author brings relief through her management ofboth storyline and imaginative language.
