Alligator Investigations

Alligator InvestigationsJoe Law thought opening a private investigations office in Albuquerque would give him a second chance after a failed relationship in Las Cruces. Instead, it drops him into a city where greed, betrayal, and murder hide behind every adobe doorway. When a wealthy client is found murdered just days after naming Joe the sole heir to his fortune, the police put the P.I. at the top of their suspect list. Another client, the lovely Sara, is a shop owner with secrets of her own, and a key leading to hidden Spanish gold.Eager to clear his name, Joe digs into his client's tangled life and uncovers a murderous network of jealous lovers, crooked businessmen, rival investigators, and greedy treasure hunters. As the bodies pile up, Joe follows a trail of lies from a smoky poker game and motel stakeouts to the ancient mission ruins of the Gran Quivira, and maybe the killer of his client. But in the high desert, greed kills fast-and trusting the wrong woman could get a man buried deeper than treasure.
