Always on the River: Collected Poems 2001-2020

A profound journey through grief, resilience, and the redemptive power of the wild.Always on the River is an intimate, evocative journey of transformation, capturing a twenty-year arc of shedding the constrictions of suburban skin to find a deeply rooted peace in the remote places of the American West. Written with the sharp precision of a seasoned observer, this collection is written in spare, rhythmic verse grounded in the cadences of the natural world. The poems serve as a field journal of the soul, charted along the currents of wild rivers and the stark, sacred silence of desert canyonlands. Through vivid imagery of moving water, ancient stone, and open skies, the collection moves beyond simple nature appreciation into a raw, honest exploration of ecological stewardship, reciprocity, and the search for the holy amidst the hollow. It is an invitation to slow down, to listen to the language of the earth, and to discover the quiet, enduring truths that can only be found when we allow ourselves to reconnect with the living world.
