In America: Where Do We Go from Here, the author takes a dive into our American society from the group perspective. She looks at our Christianity, our God, our socialization patterns, our values, our institutions, and our federal leadership (Congress, the White House, and the judiciary). Ms. Johnson speaks about our Democratic Republic and its influences on our nation. She speaks about the separation of church and state or the lack of it. Then Ms. Johnson spends time dealing with women's treatment within the macro level, in general, and how that treatment is impacting society and future generations, mostly in a negative way. She concludes that what we are doing today is detrimental to our basic survival as an empire and that minority women are getting the end of the stick in all aspects of the social spectrum! Finally, Ms. Johnson reviews the social changes within our social structure over the years and reviews some of the factors affecting change, including social mobility, our international relations, and the power of money, for good or bad, impacting our Democratic Republic and whether "we can keep it." The journal is personal and familiar, yet it has very serious implications for who we are as a nation at the macro level of our society. We can't be the beacon of light of the world unless we get it right for all citizens and residents of this great nation!
