In December 1944 a handful of GIs decided to throw a party for the children of Wiltz, Luxembourg. Ten days later the town was destroyed but, in the years that followed, Wiltz never forgot the kindness of those men. For years the town searched for them, and especially the American St Nicolas, in the hope of bringing them back to Wiltz once again. An incredible true story of honour, heroism and hope amidst the horrors of war. It’s December 1944 and, knowing they wouldn’t be home for Christmas, a handful of battle-weary GIs decide to throw a holiday party for the children of Wiltz, Luxembourg. Ten days later, the town is all but destroyed during the Battle of the Bulge but, in the years that followed, Wiltz never forgot the kindness and generosity of those soldiers on that special St Nicolas Day. For thirty years the people of Wiltz searched for those soldiers, and especially the American St Nicolas, in the hope of bringing them back once again.
